Bloody London Pub Tour
February 29 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Westminster is a common stop on London’s tourist trail. But it also has a dark side…
Join tour guide Trevor Bond (co-author of ‘The A-Z of Victorian Crime’, and a familiar face to many following his previous ‘Dracula meets Jack the Ripper’ and ‘Ratcliff Highway Murders’ tours for Spooky Isles) for a three-hour tour including stops at five unique pubs – including one on the site of an early police station, and another which commemorates England’s most famous fictional detective.
Hear about the premonition preceding the assassination of a politician, how a son brutally avenged his father’s execution, and a dismembered torso discovered at the headquarters of London’s late Victorian police force.
Then make your way towards the heart of ‘theatreland’, and learn about how a production was halted by the infamous ‘Jack the Ripper’ murders, how a grudge led to the murder of an actor, and the unsavoury history of Covent Garden.
That’s not to mention a shocking discovery at a railway station, or the horrible trade of the ‘resurrectionists’.
The tour starts at Westminster station (Exit 5) and ends close to Covent Garden station, in sight of ‘London’s most haunted theatre’. Tickets normally cost £15 but Spooky Isles/ Spooky London Facebook members can come along for just £10 per person. Drinks not included. Over 18s only.
