Temple Cinema: Poltergeist
April 18, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Temple Cinema returns to the hidden Masonic Temple at Andaz London for another season of chilling cinematic classics. Taking place in London’s most eerie, atmospheric and secret venue, Temple Cinema Season 4: Trouble in Suburbia presents four classic films about what is lurking under the bed, the problem with the boy next door, and what lies beyond the innocent white picket fence.
Tickets priced at £15 including free drink + popcorn, with £35 two-course dining tickets also available.
Don’t Go Into The House: Poltergeist (Tobe Hooper, 1982)
A family living on an ordinary suburban street become the subject of one of cinema’s most terrifying hauntings in Poltergeist. Written and produced by Steven Spielberg, and directed by horror master Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), this story of child snatching, killer clowns, indian burial grounds and things that go bump in the night is one of the scariest and most visually dazzling of ghost stories.
A rare big screen showing for a film many suggest was secretly directed by Spielberg himself, you’ll never look at the television set in quite the same way again.
