Ever wanted to write your own ghost stories but never knew where to start? This 6-session online course of horror writing workshops is for you. Beginners and experienced horror writers alike welcome!
The sessions will be hosted by Adam Z. Robinson, who is an incredibly experienced writer, performer and theatre-maker, and his work has filled playhouses up and down the country.
Adam has over 10 years experience of leading writing workshops, and during lockdown he has been running a series of writing events and audio ghost story performances.
ABOUT THE COURSE
Across six productive, stimulating and fun workshops you’ll try your hand at writing gripping, ghostly stories.
Beginners and experienced writers alike will improve their craft by looking intensively at this thrilling genre.
In the horror writing workshops and writing weeks you’ll create your own chilling masterpieces. Through a series of exercises and discussions, you’ll soon be penning tales in the style of M.R. James, Charles Dickens and Susan Hill.
Course dates*: All workshops will be LIVE-streamed on Monday evenings, 7pm UK time.
Monday 6 July
Monday 13 July
Monday 20 July

*NB: Dates may be subject to change, but course participants will be consulted in advance in this unlikely event. Workshops will be left online for anyone who can’t make a session.
If you’ve never attended a horror writing workshop before – don’t worry! Adam has 10 years experience of running them and people over the years have loved attending the sessions (see the Feedback section below). The workshops are relaxed, inclusive and extremely enjoyable… the only scary thing will be the stories you’ll write! It should be noted that this is a course aimed at adults, not children.
