The Unseen Hour – Aracnhophage

February 5 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Three New Stories on 1st, 5th, & 16th Feb- part of Vault Festival

Underground cult horror comedy The Unseen Hour presents a brand new tale of the uncanny, the macabre and the absurd. Part of a new series of strange and appalling visions of destruction. Rufus Strideforth, a blundering coward, once again encounters perilous, apocalyptic circumstances that threaten the very fabric of reality.

Three actors perform multiple roles and create live sound effects in an absurd and chaotic live radio drama. The Unseen Hour returns to VAULT Festival – where it originated – with three new stories.

1st February – MUTATION REBELLION – transgressive, unregulated science in a brutal and desperate dystopia places the world in danger when human test-subjects develop unusual abilities, and mysterious forces impel the world towards a catastrophic psychic event with unspeakable consequences. With a monologue by Anna Maguire and music from David Leopold.

5th February – ARACHNOPHAGE – a cowardly brain-washed idiot acts as servant to a god-cursed blood-sucking demon in a snow-bound gothic castle, only to have his world turned upside down by the arrival of a dashing vampire-killer… With a monologue by Naz Osmanoglu and music from MAGUIRE.

16th February – THE BLOOD SHED AT LAKE GRISSEL 2 – a group of unwise teenagers take a vacation to a lake resort which was made famous by a series of gruesome murders, but it begins to seem that they have stumbled into a sequel… [You don’t need to have heard the first Blood Shed episode, but if you want to it’s Episode 17 – unseenhour.com/listen/lakegrissel] Special guests to be announced.

Each performance of The Unseen Hour features a monologue and musical act, written and performed by guests, providing variety interludes throughout the hour of surreal old school live radio theatre.
