The Black Phone

In cinemas from Friday 24th June. Dir: Scott Derrickson. Starring: Mason Thames, Ethan Hawke, Madeleine McGraw.

After being abducted by a child killer and locked in a soundproof basement, a 13-year-old boy starts receiving calls on a disconnected phone from the killer’s previous victims.

The Craft: Legacy (2020)

Netflix, from Monday 20th June. Dir: Zoe Lister-Jones. Starring: Cailee Spaeny, Zoey Luna, Gideon Adlon.

Blumhouse’s horror reboot follows Frankie, Tabby and Lourdes who are on the lookout for a fourth member to complete their coven of witches. When they befriend Lily and accept her into their coven, they realise the dangers of their powers.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)

Now, from Saturday 25th June. Dir: Johannes Roberts. Starring: Kaya Scodelario, Robbie Amell, Hannah John-Kamen.

Set in 1998, this origin story explores the secrets of the mysterious Spencer Mansion and the ill-fated Raccoon City.

Slumber Party Massacre (2021)

Shudder, from Monday 20th June. Dir: Danishka Esterhazy. Starring: Hannah Gonera, Frances Sholto-Douglas, Mila Rayne.

A remake of the 1982 slasher film about sorority girls attacked by a maniac killer with a large electric drill.

Revealer (2022)

Shudder, from Thursday 23rd June. Dir: Luke Boyce. Starring: Caito Aase, Schaina Schrooten, Bishop Stevens.

Tensions rise when a stripper and religious protester are trapped together in a peep show booth and must come together to survive the apocalypse in 1980’s Chicago.

We Summon the Darkness (2019)

Shudder, from Monday 20th June. Dir: Mark Meyers. Starring: Alexandra Daddario, Keean Johnson, Maddie Hasson.

Three best friends embark on a road trip to a heavy-metal show, where they bond with three aspiring musicians and head off to one of the girls’ country home for an after-party.
